Biography

Design Menu Web Solutions is operated by myself, Dan Schalm. Lelle, my wife, helps keep me organized and inspired. I have been designing and managing web sites for the last twelve years. My interest in this work began at college, in Victoria, during the first of four years training as a Chinese medicine practitioner and acupuncturist. There, I set up and maintained a few information sites for both lay people and professionals in the field. During that process, a growing interest in both the technical side of HTML language and graphic design led me to take on other web projects as well. Presently I operate the Meridianman site ... an extensive web for men's alternative health accessed from all over the world. As my acupuncture practice grew, and I moved into teaching acupuncture theory and clinical safety, web design work continued to be a passion. 

Two years ago, Lelle and I moved from Victoria to Qualicum Beach, BC. In the process I have taken a break from my medical practice and now spend time divided between web creation and work on the road as a home appliance service technician.
